This Privacy Policy explains how Mountain Goat Solutions LLC ("Mountain Goat," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our websites, software, applications, and related services (the "Services").

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, including name, business email, phone number, company name, job title, account information, sales and support requests, billing information, and the documents, emails, and files you choose to send or connect for evaluation or use.

We also collect technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, log and usage data, integration metadata, and information from cookies or similar technologies.

Customer Data

Customer Data may include emails, purchase orders, quotes, attachments, business records, customer and supplier records, item records, pricing information, addresses, and contacts that Customer provides or makes available through connected systems. Customer owns Customer Data. We process Customer Data to provide, configure, support, secure, and troubleshoot the Services. For example, detecting purchase orders, extracting fields, flagging exceptions, matching customers and items, matching POs to quotes, and preparing clean export data.

How we use information

We use information to provide the Services, communicate with customers, send service updates, provide implementation and support, process billing, improve and secure the Services, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell or rent your information.

AI processing

Mountain Goat can use AI to help extract purchase order fields and to power The Goat copilot. AI extraction is optional and configurable, and a deterministic rule-based parser is also available. Your data is processed only to do the work you ask for and is not used to train AI models. The Goat is read-only. It answers questions and does not send, edit, delete, or otherwise act on your data. Any use of customer content to improve the Services is limited to aggregated or de-identified data that does not identify you or any individual.

Email and inbox access

If you connect Gmail or Outlook, Mountain Goat requests read-only mail access. It reads messages to find purchase orders; it does not send or modify mail. Sending a quote is a separate action that you initiate and authorize. You can disconnect a mailbox in the app and revoke access from your Google or Microsoft account at any time.

How we share information

We may share information with service providers and sub-processors who help us provide the Services, payment processors, our professional advisors, authorities when required by law, and a business successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. We do not sell Customer Data.

Third-party integrations

You may connect Mountain Goat to third-party systems such as email platforms, ERP systems, reporting tools, cloud storage, databases, or APIs. You are responsible for reviewing the privacy and security practices of any third-party system you connect.

Where data is stored

For pilots, Mountain Goat can run as a single-tenant deployment scoped to a controlled environment, hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States.

Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. Connections use HTTPS, and credentials and secrets are encrypted at rest. No system is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your own systems, users, credentials, inboxes, ERP systems, networks, and devices.

Who can access

Access within your instance is role-based: admin, edit, and view-only roles control who can review, edit, or only view orders. We restrict access to Customer Data to authorized personnel and service providers who need it to operate, support, or secure the Services.

Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain business records. You can delete purchase orders and documents in the app, and pilot data can be removed on request.

Cookies and website analytics

We may use cookies or similar technologies to operate our website, understand usage, and improve performance. You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings.

Your choices

Depending on applicable law, individuals may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information. You can also disconnect a connected inbox, revoke access from your email provider, and request deletion of pilot data. Requests may be sent to hello@mountaingoat.ai.

International users

If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that information may be processed in the United States or other locations where we or our service providers operate.

Data processing agreement

A Data Processing Addendum is available on request for customers who need data-processing terms. Email hello@mountaingoat.ai.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
